A Jos-based On-Air-Personality, broadcaster and public speaker and co-host of the popular sociopolitical and current affairs radio program, Unity Train on Unity 93.3 FM, Mr Andrew Amos Gogwim is set to host a public lecture and awards ceremony.
According to Mr Gogwim, the event, with the theme, ” Plateau Beyond Oil: Harnessing Agriculture and Tourism for Job creation, wealth creation and poverty alleviation” was designed to be a discussion forum with all stakeholders to generate a template that will be a catalyst for Plateau State rising beyond depending on federal allocation only , as it’s main revenue source but leveraging on agriculture and tourism to boost it’s revenue flow.
Additionally, Mr Gogwim said the event will be a credible source of data for government and the private sector to collate and exchange notes on how best to immediately begin harnessing the vast potentials of the state in agriculture and tourism, focussing on areas and products that Plateau State has comparative advantage on, so as to take the lead in benefiting from their exploration and exploitation.
Billed to hold on Sunday, 1st March 2020 at the Jos Business School Conference Hall, the event shall have the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Dr Simon Bako Lalong as the Special Guest of Honor while Sir Joseph Ari (KSM), the Director General of Industrial Training Fund is expected to chair the event.
Other guests include Mr Samson Bugama, the Managing Director of Agrikeys Services Limited as the Guest Speaker. Other eminent personalities like the Speaker and Deputy Speaker and other members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Commissioners, private sector players and members of the general public are expected.
The climax of the event shall be the presentation of “Productivity Awards” to some individuals/ groups who were able do something productive in the year 2019.
