Over 30 youths in Jos North and Bassa were trained on various digital skills including software and hardware computer repairs, artificial intelligence by Hon. Shehu Saleh Hassa, an APC aspirant for Bassa/Jos North federal constituency as part of efforts to curb social vices.
Engineer Yakub Aljasawe, a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi said that “the international certification will enable the participants to position themselves for the future of work”.
Urging the participants during the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Aljasawe said that relationship is an enabler in driving peaceful co-existence among communities in the state and across the nation. He also emphasized the importance of education in building a responsible legacy.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiary, Mohammad Adam [one of the participants] described the programme as “unique”. He assured the organisers that they will leverage what they have learnt during the programme.
The highlight of the event was the donation of laptops to the participants by Hon. Shehu Saleh Hassan, an APC aspirant for Bassa/Jos North federal constituency. The District Head of Tudun Wada commended Hon. Hassan’s for the initiative.
