Gov. Lalong Offers Prayers for Nigeria’s Fallen Heroes

The executive governor of Plateau state, Rt. Jon Simon Bako Lalong has offered prayers the Nigerian fallen heroes in commiseration with the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The special Jumu’at prayers and service was held at the Jos Central Mosque and was led by Chief Imam Jos Central mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Lawal Adam, who prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed heroes.

Gov. Lalong who was ably represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Urban development and physical planning, Alh. Idris Gambo appreciated the military’s role in bringing peace back to Plateau and it’s sustainance and restated his government’s commitment to continue supporting them to achieve the goals of lasting peace on the Plateau.

The GOC/CMDR OPSH Maj Gen I S Ali led the team of military and paramilitary officials who graced the occasion. Also in attendance were the state Grand Khadi Justice Umar Ibrahim, Special Advisers Sani Mudi, Bashir Musa Sati, Deputy COS Idi Kwando and the ES Muslim Pilgrims board, Barr Awwal Abdullahi along with the Chairman Jos North LG, Hon Shehu Usman Bala.
